Early Morning CBC Radio Show

Got up at 5:45 this morning, caught cab to CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corp.) Newsroom for my 10 minutes of early morning fame. Host was Rick Cluff who, among other things, was vastly amused by the mini-version of Tiny Homes On the Move. The newsroom was exciting. Big Time.

I said to him before we went on air that the internet sure hasn't destroyed radio and he heartily agreed.

Good vibes everywhere I go in Canada. A lot of Canadian builders know me from Builders of the Pacific Coast. I point out to people it's a book by an American about Canadians. How often does that happen?

Where are you headed next Lloyd? Hope you'll make your way to Nelson! You'd love it out here in the Kootenays.

The Internet is in fact the greatest thing that ever happened to radio. I have been living in the boonies listening to all my favorite stations from around the country streaming 24/7 on my Soundbridge internet radio unit for over a decade. I recently got the TuneIn app for my smart phone which gives me the same capability on my phone when I'm away from home. It's a great comfort knowing I can move anywhere in the world and still have access to the best musical programming!

Check out Jefferson Public Radio from Southern Oregon university or KHUM from Humboldt county, both excellent. You won't get this kind of thoughtful programming from Pandora or Sirius.
